Miami H3 Hash
Thursday 5/30/13
Hare: Belly Dancer
Hare Away target time: 7:02pm
Pack Away: eight minutes later
Start Location: Free parking on the streets surrounding the white spaceship-shaped structure of the former (now defunct and without signage) Shark & Tarpon restaurant at 1999 NE 164th St. in North Miami Beach, FL
maps.google.com/maps?q=1999+NE+164th+St,+North+Miami+Beach,+FL&hl=en&sll=27.698638,-83.804601&sspn=11.210917,23.57666&oq=1999+ne+164th&t=h&hnear=1999+NE+164th+St,+North+Miami+Beach,+Miami-Dade,+Florida+33162&z=16
The closed restaurant's lot is empty, but marked "tow away 24/7", so do choose any of the ample free on-street parking spots instead.
Cost: The token dollar gets you beverage stops on trail. BYOB for pre-lube and circle.
Flashlights: probably useful.
Shiggy socks: only very briefly useful. (but that is often all it takes for them to be missed)
Dogs: Yes, with discretion. Walkers: Yes, consult the hare pre-start.
Wheeled vehicles: Difficult, due to a few crossings/climbings/crawlings.
D'erections: Exit I-95 at Golden Glades interchange heading East on 826 (167th st). As you drive east, this morphs into 163rd st.. After about 3 miles total from I-95, turn north onto NE 20th Ave and go one block to 164th st.. Park in a free spot along either 164th st or 20th Ave. near the spaceship-shaped white structure that was once the Shark & Tarpon restaurant.
Or take US1 to 163rd st. Then West about 0.4 miles. Then north onto NE 20th Ave and one block to 164th st. Park as instructed above.
If Itsy-Bitsy comes, he can once again karaoke sing to Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets". (but it'll have to be a cappella this time)
