This will be an old-time back-to-basics family values hash. Starting in downtown Lake Worth, at the WaMu between Lake and Lucerne, it will evoke memories of other classic hashes that started there. Join us as we travel down Lake Worth's alleys and golf courses, and view the intracostal from high atop the Lake Worth Bridge. Experience roosters, dogs, police, and a kaleidescope of recently arrived immigrants.
We'll be finishing at Lake Worth's newest downtown eatery -- the Rum Shack. Preliminary scouting indicates that they sell rum there.
To get there, step into your Hummer limo and tell the driver to take you where the action is. Bring your Player's Club card, and bring your $5, because we don't take American Express.

For those of you who don't know what/where a WaMu is...
Exit I95 at 6th Avenue South in Lake Worth Florida USA and go east past Dixie to Federal Highway. Left, north, a few blocks on Federal to Lake. Right, east, on Lake. Washington Mutual Bank will be on your left in a block or two.

Ithink 6th Ave South is closed, so you may want to take 10th Ave North and go south to Lake Ave instead

I hope you all enjoyed the trail. I ran out of checks, so I had to use checkbacks for most of it. I'm guessing that nobody really noticed the difference.
We had quite a turnout, about 40 people. It must be something to do with the WaMu mojo. I missed the on-afterward, but AC/DC had a huge wad of hash cash, so it must have been quite a party. I'm still surprised we went through five cases of beer, plus a sixth that AC/DC went out and got for the post-circle socializing.
We did in fact have a great view of the intracoastal from the Lake Worth bridge. I really enjoyed putting the CB 5 at the foot of the bridge to fool those hashers who thought we were going straight back to the cars. Surprise! And AC/DC picked out a great waterfront spot for a high-energy circle. I think almost everyone got a down-down, which might explain where the five cases of beer went.
If you liked that trail, you'll love the one I'm scheduled for on March 28. I used up all my checkbacks, so I'll have to lay the entire thing with true trail arrows.

CB 3.5" Drive,
You realize that you nearly violated one of the unoffical hash rules (as Cum Again mentioned to me at the beer check last night, before it turned into the ON-IN), of no more than 5 miles of trail without beer. As it turns out, I was the only one with over 5 miles on my GPS but a bunch of the others in the pack had just under 5.
Anyway it was a good trail on a great night for running and I think you're right, a lot of down-downs, mainly big groups each time, which is always good. Looking forward to your next one on March 28. I can't wait to find out who your super-secret ghost hare will be !
