"Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk - That should teach you to keep your mouth shut." - E. Hemingway
We'll be planning on the snorkel/sunset trip on the Fury catamaran Friday evening, and the Pub Crawl on Saturday afternoon, starting at 4:00. $10 covers the pub crawl with several stops - some you may remember and some new - and on-after-after plans for Schooner's Wharf and the Green Parrot bar.
Start of the pub crawl will be at the pool of the Best Western Hibiscus Hotel, 1313 Simonton Street, Key West (same place as last year) - corner of United Street & Simonton

I contacted the people at the Fury Catamaran today, (305) 294-8899
The snorkel/sunset combo sail goes out at 5:00 on Friday July 20. You may want to call ahead to make a reservation, usually not necessary but just in case they may get a lot of bookings.

Booked it today - checkin is at 4:30 at the Westin Hotel Marina which is at 245 Front street - 1 1/2 blocks west of Duval St., right near Mallory Square
When they ask how you heard about the Fury and tell them you've been on the boat before they give you a 10% discount.

Hash Trash - from Mu-sick, actual bona-fide Key West hasher ! The Hash Started at the Hibiscus Hotel, where everyone got hydrated for the warm weather by drinking a few beers, registering for the run and getting their blue Hemingway Hash T-Shirts courtesy of Yeast Infection and Nurse Goodbody. After the hares finally left an hour after the advertised start time, the pack continued to consume their beverages of choice until 10 minutes had passed. Did the hares actually ask for 15 minutes? The pack passed the Bottlecap about 1 block into the run amid discussion on how it would be a good beer stop, since we had already covered 60-80 yards. But the pack didn't stop. The First beer stop was @ Lobo's. Drew first card for giveaways (boobie beads). A Down-down song ensued for winning beads. Between the 1st & 2nd stop passed two other hashers not on the hash. They called out from the bar but didn't join us. Several Hashers saw a bird (presumably a mocking bird) chasing a dog down the street and the dog was crying and yelping as he ran as fast as his legs would let him. 2nd beer stop was at Captain Tony’s. Rob Sweet, a good singer and guitar player, picked up on the kind of songs the hash likes. 3rd beer stop was at Red fish Blue fish. It was Barber chair margaritas for the hares & others. 2 drawings for prizes (pins - one said NO! Buying me a drink does not constitute foreplay). 4th beer stop was across the street from Hemingway house. The pack arrived just in time to Cheer on the runners in the Hemingway Sunset 5K (such as Wet Willy and his wife, who left the pack to run the 5K) and offered beers. There were Several takers among runners & walkers and one motorcycle cop who reached out like he was going to take a beer. All marks were chalk (no flour) after the disaster we had last Fantasy Fest with the Fire Chief following the hares into the On Home. The On home was in a parking lot across from the Hibiscus. Mu-Sick sang the circle up song and. Down downs were orchestrated by No Blow & Anal Inspector with fun songs. Hashers from Ft Lauderdale, Palm Beach, others, including Wet Willie & wife (who joined at the second beer stop) from Madison WI, who also ran the 5K and 3 virgins all were required to sing a song, tell a joke and relate a story. Returning Key West hashers were "Slam Bam Thank You Ma'm" and "Boat Drinks." The circle closed as we ran out of beer and sang Swing Low with the motions. The next Hash Run is on Saturday, 18 Aug 07 at 5 pm starting at the Florida Keys Community College Parking Lot. Hare is Mu-Sick.
