4 people supported it and since it was taking so long, 3.5" went with it as he ran the naming circle....

OK don't know what that off-topic diversion was about "Brokeback Cowgirl's" naming, but maybe we should get "Back to our regularly scheduled postings/whinings"..... R U ?
The pack for last night's trail was a bit unusual, seems The Body showing up from Texas for his 70th birthday hash brought out a few old-timers: Psycho, Shuttle cock, Sno-Cone, Community Chest and Pecker (Trucker) Hunter and Kunta-Kinte ! Psycho brought out all of her old hash shirts to give away (some from 1988 !) A few pedaled their way to the hash - Circumspector, 3.5" Drive, Glasshole (of course) and Kunta Kinte. Community Chest brought a virgin (Theo).
After a quick chalk talk (for the virgin and for newbie hasher NFHN Jeanette) there hares were soon out on trail. It wasn't long before the rain came, first just a few light showers and then a couple of really big downpours (but no lightning). Trail went a bit south then east over the RR tracks and back noth, east again through PBAC area, out past the church to Flagler and underneath the intracoastal bridge up to Clematis and the amphitheater. The pack of FRB's lead by Cuming or Going ? got to the beer check at the "Climaxes by Night" fountain and soon after the walkers showed up. The walkers had just come from the nearby newstand to buy beer to wait for the hares, and were told by the cashier the hares had beaten them there a short while before and already bought beer. Eventually the rest of the pack showed up expect for Itsy Bitsy, 3.5" Drive, The Body and P-RICK. Nurse GoodBody called The Body where he was having a beer with 3.5" Drive and Itsy at 3.5's house !
Soon hares were away, and just before the pack took off for the second half P-RICK showed up after running part way over the bridge to Palm Beach. And the refugees from 3.5's house drove in to the beer check eventually.
The rest of trail was a very simple and rainy route out west on Clematis, by the police station and their artwork and around the west part of City Place. Circle up was in a familiar spot in the park where the skies grumbled and howled but kept from raining much at all during the circle. Down-downs were awarded to the usual suspects, plus the guest of honor, The Body, for 70th birthday. Returning hashers all took pride in telling when their first hash was in Palm Beach, and more down-downs were awarded ..... FRB's, matching attire, hashers who pedaled to the start, and finally for Glasshole, who got mixed up this weekend and rode his bike on Sunday 50 miles roundtrip Lake Worth to Palm Beach Gardens for a party for the Body that actually was the day before ! The hard rain started coming down quickly and announcements were speeded through in record time, not even enough time to spin the hare for next week's (hareless) hash.
Several of us went to the on-after at the Steakhouse Sports Bar place in City Place where we convinced the bartenders to put on the Marlins game and we kept celebrating The Body's big birthday and enjoyed being dry (finally!). Strawberry Shortcock made a surprise appearance and warned us about the onset of a month long festival he called "Christoberfest" but we all called "Shortcocktoberfest"....I guess we will have to wait to see what that's all about
