Full Moon Beer Mile
Saturday July 12th,
Time: pre-lube at 6:30 pm, r*cing heats begin around 7:00 pm.
Where: West Delray Regional Park
10875 Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, Florida 33436
D’erections: From the south or north: Take I-95 or the turnpike to Atlantic Avenue and go west. Continue west until the end of Atlantic Avenue at which point you will turn right into the park. Look for some ill-kempt sods milling about.
Cost: $5 includes the 4 beers you will consume during your beer mile (PBR or Coors Banquet) and another one for the recovery period.
On After will be a potluck-ish BBQ so that we can all eat a little something and sober up before hitting the road. I’ll provide some grillables (sausages and dogs), but please bring a salad or something else to share and feel free to bring your own treats to throw on the fire.
A beer mile entails four beers that are consumed immediately preceding a ¼ mile lap. Once the final beer has been consumed, you have one more lap to complete.
So it goes like this:
Chug a beer
Run a ¼ mile
Repeat 3 more times
Other rules:
Should you unfortunately (or, really, fortunately) vomit, you will run a ¼ mile penalty lap for beer wastage (you do not have to drink another beer).
All beers must come from a 12-oz can or bottle without any other adulterations (i.e. no holes or widemouths to increase flow). Beer must also be at least 5% ABV. The beer provided will be PBR and Coors Banquet, both American-style lagers (no, Yuengling is not compliant, only 4.4%). Should you wish to bring your own beverage that is compliant, feel free to do so – your hash cash will be pro-rated.
Awards will be given to the overall winner for wankers and bimbos and to the winners of each of the following categories
Masters - Age 30 and up
Super Masters - Age 40 and up
Grand Masters - Age 50 and up
Super Grand Hash Masters - Age 69 and up
Clydesdale (SMS, I’m lookin’ at you for a repeat) - Age 35 and up, 200 lbs and heavier
