It's a little late, but here's my prediction: I have heard that the city of Greenacres has plowed up even more of the mountain bike trails, so we may be running through fresh dirt. I'm definitely bringing my whistle tonight. Now I better study up for the quiz. 3.5

actually it was legal to manufacture and sell BEER - of only 3.2% alcohol - as of April 7, 1933, about 8 months prior to the passing of the XXI amendment. The XXIst made it offical and also allowed all other alcohol, wine beer etc., but also instituted strict interstate commerce restrictions which are still partly with us now (you cannot in most cases call in an order to a winery in California or any other state other than your own to have it shipped to another state, for instance) Take a look at some of the stuff at www.allaboutbeer.com for more info and history

Fortunately, 3.5" Drive was wrong about the mountain bike trails having been plowed over - they were in great shape and not even a single biker out there during the hash.
Also, 3.5" Drive wins the BEST EVER hash trail prediction map accuracy award ! It was nearly perfectly nailed the exact course of the trail except the end of the trail (last 1/2 mile) was a straight shot back to the start instead of crossing Forest Hill Blvd to Okeeheelee Park
shitty Name wins the "best in class" award for jumping in to give Suck Me Dry the answer to the 2 part "New Beer's Eve FCAT" Quiz question: Who sent a shitload of beer to the White House on New Beer's Day and how did he send it ? (answer: August Busch, sent the beer towed by a dozen Clydesdales horses)

It was New Beer's Eve last night, better known as the 67th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition. Yeast gave us all a history lesson, culminating in the New Beer's Eve FCAT. We met behind the Publix, with a good-sized turnout of 30+ people. In honor of New Beer's Eve, Yeast had provided Natty Lite. I got some photos as the sun was setting. Yeast was away promptly at 7:10, and we followed him after a decent interval. The first half was mucho shiggy, winding through the Pinehurst mountain bike trails, and then crossing the street into the equestrian park. The pack had some idea of where they were going, so the pace was quick, with not a lot of time solving the checks. After just 3.27 miles we arrived at the beer check, on a secluded lake in the equestrian park. As we stood around refreshing ourselves we saw a curious site in the distance. It was the walkers, but they were ... running? Apparently there is a quite a push in the walker community to get properly trained for the upcoming 7 Mile Bridge run. Pretty soon we left the beer check, for a more-or-less straight run back to the cars, where more Natty Lite awaited us. We had a decent circle, with Plop keeping the crowd under control. There were several returning NFHNs, and even a hash hottie. Things are going well in the new hasher department. Then Duffy's, then home. For once my prediction was pretty close. The prediction is on the left, and the actual trail is on the right. I got the mountain bike trail and the equestrian trail, but Yeast opted to skip Okeeheelee after that.

Natty Light ? ? I think there was just one six pack of Natty Light in all those two big coolers of 5+ cases of other beers, mostly Miller Light and Busch.
Thanks for the pictures and the write-up. Thanks to the short-cutting bastards for not snaring me. It was certainly close, way too fucking close !
Congratulations to ACDC for leading the walkers on their own shiggy filled "alternative trail", even after I gave him a map, pre-laid the second half for the walkers to follow, and provided him an exhaustive explanation of how to get to the beer check. I think one of the walkers (Climaxes perhaps?) told me his famous last words: "I think I can get through back here behind the school........ its a shortcut......."
Whatever happened to Dribble ? and Winey ?
