It’s Time To Party In Downtown Lake Worth Again
We’ve Got A Halloween Weekend Event
Come On Down To The L-dub
Crash Space Is Available
Lots Of Futons and Floor Space at Butt Her Balls “The dick Pound”
Lots Of Tent Space At Anal Inspectors “Dead Lizard Inn”
Howdy All ! ! We’re back in the parade business!!
The will be a huge Halloween Festival in Downtown Lake Worth this year. Lake Ave & Lucerne Ave will be closed from Dixie to Federal Hwy like the Street Painting Festival from Fri afternoon till Sat midnight. There is a parade on Fri starting at 6:30. FatCat Bicycle is having a Halloweenie Roast right after the parade and The People Up Stairs will be playing at the downtown Cultural Plaza at 10p. Sat the event continues with a Hash trail Sat afternoon (if there is enough local and out-of-town interest) and a Costume Halloween Pub Crawl on Saturday night!

The Halloween Event is being organized by one of our local natives Amy Saleeby, she has put in a tremendous effort getting this event together. The parade will include local LW business & community participation, the Downtown Jewel Neighborhood Association will be there, AND the Hash House Harriers!!!! The event is similar to the Greenwich Village Halloween festival w/ a touch of Mardi Gras. There will be giant vignette puppets & themed groups.
This event will have a month long promotional campaign FREAKY Friday celebrating the F.R.E.A.K. movment.
Forward thinking, Real, Extraordinary, Amazing, Kinds!
Amy is doing a lot of promotions for this with both print and radio.
One of the ideas we came up with is to have a “protest event”. On the Friday before the event 10/23 around 4:30 – 5:00 stage a protest against the F.R.E.A.K. movement. Make some signs and set up on the corner of Dixie Hwy & Lake Ave “protesting” the FREAKS. We got the idea from a video clip of Kevin Smith protesting his own movie Dogma – click here for the Channel 12 news clip and here for Kevin Smith talking about the incident.

Latin America- Dia De Los Muertos
Africa, Carribbean & New Orleans- Hoodoo/Voodoo
USA- 50’s Americana Traditional Halloween.
THE PARADE IS OPEN TO ANYONE DRESSED IN COSTUME!
